On 18 April 2019, the City of Zevenaar approved the building permit to build Fashion Outlet Zevenaar. No objections were submitted so preparations can officially start for the construction of Fashion Outlet Zevenaar.

Fashion Outlet Zevenaar will span 17,600m² (including the supermarket) and have more than 2,300 parking spaces. Fashion Outlet Zevenaar is a development by Ontwikkelingscombinatie FOZ B.V., a partnership between Veluwezoom Verkerk Vastgoedontwikkeling and Stable International.

Kees Woltering, Director of Stable International, is very excited: “We can now actually commission the assignments for the construction of Fashion Outlet Zevenaar”. There is a lot of interest from brands, both national and international and many contracts already have been signed too, so things have been going in the right direction. Our Outlet offers an amazing prospect for these brands. The architecture of Fashion Outlet Zevenaar will be very appealing, as various characteristic buildings in the area served as inspiration for and are reflected in the Outlet.”

Ideal location
Fashion Outlet Zevenaar is very easy to access with the new exit on the A12, but also because of its location, within only 5 km of Germany. David van der Hulst, Director of Veluwezoom Verkerk Vastgoedontwikkeling, says: “Expanding the A12 and connecting the A15 from Tiel/Rotterdam has made Fashion Outlet Zevenaar very easy to access for 30 million people, as it is only a 90-minute drive away - or less, ranking Zevenaar first versus 211 existing European outlet schemes.”

Tourism
Fashion Outlet Zevenaar will have between 90 and 100 different brands, with both nationally and internationally appealing brands. There will also be a varied range of hospitality establishments, so that visitors can really experience a full, fun day out. Fashion Outlet Zevenaar also expects to draw visitors from Germany and will be an important tourist attraction for Gelderland. The Outlet will have an information centre offering the area the option to present itself. There will be close collaboration with the Visit Arnhem/Nijmegen Tourist Centre, with which an agreement has already been made, but also with the business association of the Zevenaar City Centre as other minor and major tourist attractions.
